Bucyrus Little Theatre is giving audiences the chance to supercharge their holiday spirit this December with two fantastic Christmas productions for the price of one. Performances of The Twelve Daze of Christmas by Jeff Lovett and A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles M. Schultz, both directed by Cindy Light, will run December 6-8 and December 13-15, 2024. Friday and Saturday shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows take place at 2:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Monday, November 18, 2024, and can be purchased at www.BucyrusLittleTheatre.com

“More than 50 talented actors of all ages are coming together to present this year’s holiday production,” said Light. “Comedy, music, and nostalgia are taking center stage this year and we are looking forward to bringing these wonderful stories to life.”

What To Expect

Each performance will begin with a new, very literal, interpretation of the song, The Twelve Days (or in this case “Daze”) of Christmas. The Christmas comedy in one act is produced by special arrangement with Heuer Publishing, LLC of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. As one might imagine, the show features a large cast. Following intermission, audiences will be treated to a live production of the classic animated television holiday special, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Torin Schoch brings the character of Charlie Brown to life alongside his good pal Linus Van Pelt, played by Miles Bessler, and canine companion, Snoopy, played by Sage Whalen, and the rest of the Peanuts gang, to discover the true meaning of Christmas. A Charlie Brown Christmas is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Tams-Witmark, LLC.

In addition to those named above, the cast of these two productions include Daniel Beck, Justin Beck, Klay Blair, Lincoln Blankenship, Trinity Buckley, Daniel Crall, Gwen Crall, William Crall, Aaron Doezema, Nova Eagle-Hobbs, Dalton Edwards, Seth Farnsworth, Rayne Gear, Ella Greenick, Addy Hoffman, Mia Hoover, Sofia Kanellakis, Addilyn Kennedy, Brynsley Kitchin, Vivi Kitchin, Evan LaForest, Shiloh Lepp, Payton Lewis, Mackenzie McAdow, Charlie Miley, Aleah Mueller, Aniela Mueller, Jack Murrell, Dariana Perry, Brooklyn Pival, Michael Rarick, Shelby Richards, Jayda Robison, Aria Sennet, Karla Sharp, Emma Shepherd, Emma Smith, Josie Smith, Lillian Smithey, Lilia Suarez, Mika Suarez, Clara Tomlin, Wyatt Tomlin, Izzy Tuttle, Allie Weisenauer, and Quinn Whalen.

“The Bucyrus community is lucky to have so many great things to do to celebrate the season and we hope taking in a show at Bucyrus Little Theatre tops the list,” said Abigail Kanellakis, president of Bucyrus Little Theatre’s board of directors. “Our holiday performance is a great example of how important this theater is to our entire extended community. Actors, many from Bucyrus and neighboring school districts, are dedicating many hours to bring these shows to life. The result is sure to be magical.”
